Mule Deer Hunting - Mountain mule deer Hunts
Our mountain horseback mule deer hunts start September 17 and run
until the end of November. We normally offer mountain mule deer hunts
as an add on with Elk hunts or Moose hunts but if you are interested we have
done some straight mule deer hunts as well.
Our high mountain area includes
the upper Clearwater River Valley, Forbidden Creek and Lost Guide
Lake. It is bordered by Banff National Park to the west and Ya-ha-Tinda
ranch to the south. The upper portion of our area is closed to motorized
vehicles and is accessible by horseback or team and wagon only.
If you desire a late mountain mule deer hunt during the rut we would hunt the
lower end of our mountain area until the end of November, which
is accessible by ATV. We have taken some 160 B&C Mulies from
our mountain area.
Mule Deer Hunting - Ranchland mule deer hunts:
Our ranchland mule deer hunts are on and around our ranch which
is located on the edge of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains northwest
of Calgary. They are 6 day
spot and stalk mule deer hunts with some blinds on hayfields. We have
taken some nice mule deer in the 140-160 range. We
have lived here for many years and we know the area very well. We
have access to some very good private and public land. Alberta mule
deer hunting is an exciting trip with a lot of big bucks in
the area.
